This resource has been designed to encourage learners to investigate the lines of symmetry for all x26 capital letters of the alphabet, investigating one letter at a time. Learners explore by folding letters (first) then cutting letters, once learners are sure they have found an accurate line of symmetry. Learners then sort letters into two groups (those which do/do not have a line of symmetry) and check answers (provided).

This set of lowercase letters has been designed to display on windows in any learning environment and provides the opportunity to showcase the whole alphabet together. Learners will be inspired to recognise and name each letter (and sound) and can be encouraged to practise saying the order of the alphabet.
